2014 Reading List

Honestly, I wouldn't consider myself a huge reader, really.  I got into reading when my sister in law Heidi bought me the Jane Austen Complete series, a few years ago.  It took a little time, but I made it through them all, then of course had to rent and or buy all the movies!! Pride & Prejudice will always be my favorite fiction novel.  I mostly read non-fiction, life application books now.  I'm also trying to read more chapter books with the kids too.

So, I've started a new tradition of coming up with a list of books I'd like to read at the beginning of the year & come January the following year share what I've actually read.  It's a little goal/ motivational tool for myself & gives me a chance to recommend good reads.  This is my 2nd year compiling a yearly reading list, take a peak at my 2013 intro post HERE.  You can see what I planned to read, then what I actually read this past year was:

My 2013 Reads: Undaunted, Christine Caine; Jesus is ____, Judah Smith; Grace: The Power of the Gospel, Andrew Wommack; The Boy who came Back from Heaven, Kevin Malarkey; Word Spirit Power, Kendall, Carrin, Taylor; Cast of Characters, Max Lucado;  Heaven us For Real, Todd Burpo; Desperate (Hope for the Mom that needs to Breathe), Sarah Mae & Sally Clarkson; Women Living Well (Finding Joy in God, your Man, your Kids and your Home), Courtney Joseph

Reading with the kiddos: The Boxcar Children & Surprise Island, Gertrude Warner; Little House in the Big Woods, Laura Ingalls Wilder; The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Barbara Robinson

If any books are in a different color with a link, click it to see my personal review on the book :)

Now on to the 2014 Lineup...

  1. Love your lists! I've read two on your list for this year, Unglued and 31 Days to Clean. Good books, couldn't put Unglued down, and I still turn to both of them as I need them. I want to put a list together, but I never stick to those types of lists! lol So I'll just keep up with my reading and post occasionally what I've been reading!

  2. Hey Peggy! Thanks for stopping by :) I am glad to hear you liked them, they sound fabulous to me, hoping I actually get to them. I'm not a huge reader, but I'm trying to be intentional this year & of course I was inspired by LeighAnn to do a list, I always enjoy hers. My list seems to motivate me for some reason, but I def. go through spurts of loving to read, then taking a month off.
