I compiled my reading list for the year 2 weeks ago, and I now have 3 books marked off the list!! No, I did not read them that quickly, I had previously started two of them and finished all three this weekend. We had a LOVELY weekend up north sledding, building snow tunnels, drinking hot cocoa, snuggling in front of the fire, watching the lake fill up with ice fisherman...four wheelers...snow mobiles, we laughed, had snow ball fights, played games.....again I say it was LOVELY!!!!!! Ok, back to the book. I received UNDAUNTED, by Christine Caine this Christmas from my mom, and had been anxiously waiting to read it, as it was recommended by Holly Furtick on her blog, and from the first time I heard Christine Caine speak I couldn't wait to hear more from her. If you don't read any other book this year, read this one! I am telling you, some of the truths God has whispered to me over the last few years were written in this book. I was shocked, encouraged, and inspired. I have NEVER written down so many quotes in my life!! Here are a few of my favorite:
"We achieve the impossible by focusing on God with whom all things are possible."
"But God's word is so full of His pormises to us, and when we read it, we're reminded of them."
"God cares more about our willingness than our qualifications."
"Courage, afterall, isn't the absence of fear; it's the will to persevere even in the face of fear."

After sharing about the loss of her baby, due to a miscarriage: " The LORD has already walked the road of suffering before me and now returned to meet me on it....A spiritual exchange took place....I magnified the Lord instead of my disappointment. I began to remember His mercies more than my hurt."
"You have what it takes to bring home my precious ones- you have ME [God], when you walk with me, you shine because whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life. Just as I helped you, in turn you can help others."
Ok, I seriously have pages more of her quotes, I mean the Spirit of God just poured out of Christine, out of the pages of Undaunted, and into my life. If you have been let down, deceived, lost, abused, crushed, felt unworthy, unimportant, not good enough, felt deep hurt or great loss, this book is for you. It will be a source of hope and will inspire you to lead others to the ultimate source of hope: JESUS. I hope you will add this to your reading list, you will not regret it.
