Planes, Trains & Automobiles

A visit to the Henry Ford Museum.

If you are a Michigander, one of the highlights of Detroit you will want to check out is the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield village.  We visited to Greenfield last May, it was a very fun family day out doors.  So much to do, you feel like you step back in time.  We upgraded our ticket to include The Henry Ford Museum and we just went back to visit there, it was my first time.

I HIGHLY recommend a family day at the Henry Ford.  It is filled with all kinds of interesting and interactive artifacts, displays and things to do.  Full size antique trains, tractors, machines, automobiles, airplanes, it was quite the museum.  There is a fun hot dog place with Chicago and NY style dogs we ate at, or you can bring your own food for lunch.  There is something there for all ages, but here are a few of our favorite moments from the day.

 The Auto-Service Hands on Station:

Drew was in his element!

Seeing & sitting in cars from all eras.

Cool, real trains, we got to go in the engine!

In the Planes section we got to make airplanes, then throw them at a target.

 Drew "harvesting corn".

The other favorite display: the HUGE train table, we stayed there a long time!

Anyways just wanted to share a fun family event with you guys!
I hope you can check it out, let me know if you do!
