The BEST and EASIEST Apple Crisp

Well it is "officially" fall over here at my house, since tonight I made my first apple dessert!  Warm apple crisp, topped with a dollop (isn't that the best word?!) of vanilla ice cream you just can't beat that!

Got this super simple recipe from my good friend Holly, you awesome baker you!  It is so easy, and tastes fabulous.  I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.  So although I usually add my own spin on recipes, there was no need to do that with this one.  ENJOY!

APPLE CRISP
Pre-heat oven 325 degrees

Ingredients:
5 medium apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Put apples in a medium mixing bowl, pour sugar and cinnamon over and stir.  Pour into a pie dish.

3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 Tablespoons of butter, cut in small pieces

Using the same bowl, add flour and brown sugar, sift together.  Last add the butter, using your hands mix together, until mixture is well combined and begins to get crumbly.  Sprinkle over apples in pie dish.  Put in preheated oven, cook for 1 hour, uncovered.  Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream.  Amazing, so easy!!
